Our goal is simple: to make solar and battery storage safe, reliable, financially worthwhile and easy for our customers to understand.
MLT Power has once again been recognised by Tesla for excellence in the installation and support of Tesla Powerwall systems — marking our third award from Tesla.
For us, this recognition is about more than an award. It reflects our commitment to delivering high-quality solar and battery installations, exceptional customer support, and reliable energy solutions to homes and businesses across Cape Town and South Africa.
Our Third Tesla Award: Performance Excellence
We are proud to have received our third award from Tesla, this time recognising Performance Excellence.
Being recognised repeatedly by one of the world's leading names in energy storage is a significant achievement for our team. It reinforces what our customers already experience: that choosing a solar installer is not simply about purchasing equipment — it is about choosing a company that can design, install, support and stand behind the system for years to come.
As a trusted Tesla Powerwall installer, we are proud to be part of a growing movement towards smarter, cleaner and more reliable energy in South Africa.
40 Years of Experience Behind Every Installation
MLT Power was established in 1986 by Dr. Michel Malengret and began as an inverter manufacturer before growing into a renewable energy and solar installation company.
Today, we bring 40 years of experience to the design and installation of solar, battery and backup energy systems. Our experience spans residential homes, farms and businesses, with more than 1,000 installations completed.
Our core values are Quality, Honesty, Knowledge and Support — principles that guide the way we approach every project.
That long-term experience is particularly important when installing advanced energy storage technology such as the Tesla Powerwall 3.
Why Choose an Experienced Tesla Powerwall Installer?
The Tesla Powerwall 3 is an advanced home battery and inverter system designed to provide energy storage, backup power and greater control over your home's electricity use.
According to our product range, the Tesla Powerwall 3 combines an 11.5kW inverter with a 13.5kWh lithium battery, 100% usable battery capacity, integrated artificial intelligence, a 10-year warranty and an outdoor-rated IP67 enclosure.
But even the best technology needs to be installed correctly.
A professional solar installation involves much more than mounting panels and connecting a battery. It requires careful system design, electrical expertise, correct protection, commissioning, monitoring and compliance with the relevant regulations.
At MLT Power, we also assist with solar SSEG council approval, electrical certification and professional engineering sign-off where required, helping customers navigate the administrative and technical requirements associated with solar installations.
Customer Support Doesn't End After Installation
One of the most important parts of a solar investment is knowing that you have an experienced team behind your system after it has been installed.
Our service offering includes online and telephone support, call-outs and leak fixes, backed by a workmanship warranty and public liability insurance.
This customer-first approach is a major part of what makes MLT Power different.
We don't simply install a Tesla Powerwall and walk away. We aim to build long-term relationships with our customers and provide the technical knowledge and support required to get the most from their energy system.
